Format of GMAT Test

The GMAT test consists of four sections:

 

·       Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA): This section tests your analytical writing skills. You must choose one of two topics and write a critical essay in 30 minutes.

 

·       Integrated Regeneration (IR): This section presents a variety of questions based on data analysis, interpretation, and logical argument. It contains 12 questions that are given 30 minutes to solve.

 

·       Quantitative Regeneration (QR): This section tests your mathematical qualification and problem-solving skills. It contains 31 questions that give you 62 minutes to solve.

 

·       Verbal Regeneration (VR): This section tests your reading understanding, vocabulary, and oral argument skills. It contains 36 questions that give you 65 minutes to resolve.

 

Scoring pattern

The total score of the GMAT test is between 200 and 800, with each section score between 0 and 60. Besides the test score, you get a score between 0 and 6 for the AWA section.

 

Tips for preparing for the GMAT Test

Here are some tips that can help you make the preparation for the GMAT Test effective:

 

·       Understand the exam pattern well: Read the GMAT Test format and syllabus carefully.

 

·       Give Practice Test: Giving a regular Mock Test will make you the habit of Test format, and you will be able to improve your time management skills.

 

·       Note on glossary construction: Strong vocabulary is necessary in the GMAT test. Get used to learning new words daily.

 

·       Develop problem-solving skills: The GMAT test assays the ability to solve mathematical and logical problems. Develop your skills through practice.

 

·       Mastery time management: Practice considering the time limit scheduled for each section.
