BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY
Behavior therapy is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on changing specific behaviors, thoughts, and emotions that are causing problems in a person’s life. It is based on the principles of behaviorism, which states that behavior is learned through reinforcement and punishment. Behavior therapists use a variety of techniques such as exposure therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and reinforcement techniques to help individuals change their behavior. This type of therapy is often used to treat conditions such as anxiety, phobias, depression, and addiction.
Our Behaviour Therapists will work with the participant and their familie/s to modify behavior with a behavioural support plan, including cognitive behavioral therapy near me, in order to address difficult behaviours, and identifying triggers or what encourages their behavior in their environment.
