Detailed admission procedure for Uceed 2023

By qualifying for Uceed 2023 you can apply for the B.Des program of prestigious institutes like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, and many more.

The common application form will be made available and the fee is Rs 3000 for applicants of all categories and genders.

The submission of the application needs to take place between March 14 to March 31, 2023

Eligibility details for B.Des 

The admission to B.Des is based on three main criteria:

• Age

Born after October 1, 1998 for OPEN/ EWS / OBC-NCL 

Born after October 1, 1993 for SC/ ST/ PwD

• Uceed 

A rank in Uceed 2023

• Qualifying examination

All 5 subjects in Class 12 or equivalent in 2022 or 2023

Seat Allotment

The seat allotment rounds will take place in three rounds.

• Round 1: April 10, 2023
• Round 2: May 10, 2023
• Round 3: June 10, 2023

After the candidate receives his All India Rank (AIR), he can apply to his choice of the desired institute. An email confirmation to the selected candidates will take place and the further process of online payment for seat acceptance will take place. 

• Seat acceptance fee: Rs 60000 (GEN/ EWS/ OBC-NCL)
• Seat acceptance fee: Rs 15000 (SC/ ST/ PwD)

The seat distribution for Uceed B.Des program:

Detailed fee structure as previously seen in 2020 of IIM Bombay:

• A one-time fee of Rs 8900 will be levied on both Indian and Foreign candidates
• The per semester fee for Indian candidates is about Rs 117600 whereas the fees incurred by foreign candidates is Rs 317600
• A total of Rs 9000 will also be considered as the refundable deposit
• Students staying in hostels have to pay a per semester fee of Rs 22000
• Tuition fee is exempted for all SC/ ST/ PwD candidates

Exam difficulty level

As per a study conducted, the level of difficulty for Uceed is expected to be of a moderate level but is always better for the candidate to remain prepared for any surprises on the day of the exam. Candidates who have a better knowledge of the paper pattern tend to do better than those who have no clue about the question paper.
