Diablo II: Resurrected Plagued by Login Issues, Some players are demanding refunds. For the past six days, Diablo II: Resurrected players from Europe, United States, Asia, and the United Kingdom have experienced intermittent problems when trying to log into Diablo II's servers on the internet. Now, some are taking the internet to request refunds.
According to Blizzard's customer support Twitter account, the outages may be due to issues with server authentication for the game which could result in players experiencing "failed" or "slow" login attempts.These issues started with the server after Blizzard updated players on the Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch versions of the game on October 6.
The patch seemed to be routine fare, addressing issues like player profiles not being able to share names to online characters that they created as well as players were not notified of the game is linked to their Xbox Live accounts. A change made it so gamers were no longer blocked from creating games in their area after joined a match in the region of another.
Blizzard's Twitter account for customer support has released numerous updates to let players know it's aware of the issues players are experiencing, and of the team's efforts to implement solutions.
The account has frequently tweeted the message "Today's log-in and game creation issues have been resolved buy d2r items," but these maintenance efforts do not seem to solve the issue.
