Will MATLAB still survive for the future?

  • Because a company employing engineers frequently has limited time but a respectable budget, it is crucial for engineers to have access to a comprehensive collection of reliable libraries for effective prototyping. Additionally, developing algorithms is neither simple nor simple. Numerous things could go wrong. 
  • For instance, using an inappropriate sorting algorithm just damages the computation time but using a wrong control algorithm for motors leads to damages on your machines and/or facilities. Also, You can compare the number of MATLAB's optimization algorithms and that of numpy, Python . Numpy just has essentials in my point of view.
