SARAH & JAMIE: REAL BRIDE STORY
After postponing twice, watching two miserable weather dates passing us, I was delighted to obtain married on Wednesday using the sun shining; it felt enjoy it was intended to be!
We got married at Cornhill Castle, we'd checked out venues around Glasgow and Edinburgh so that as soon as we arrived at Cornhill we knew it had been the one. The staff is incredible, and also the venue is really beautiful.
We had met on the dating app coupled with our first date at Edinburgh Christmas Market. A little over 24 months later, Jamie proposed a lovely park date. We sat under the sun, experiencing the May sunshine, and he surprised me by having a ring! When we got home from the park, my parents and Jamie have there been with champagne and balloons. Jamie is my mate, and I can't remember what life was like before him.
My diamond engagement ring has a pearl and olive leaf detail, therefore we used that being an inspiration for that wedding. Our table numbers were photos of people at those ages, and our place cards were a mixture of dinosaurs and music to mix our two loves! A friend read A Lovely Love Story by Edward Monkton too. I enjoyed the marriage planning, despite all the pandemic problems. The suppliers and venue were understanding and accommodating, and it had been easy to reorganize. Click
I didn't fully realize what kind of dress I wanted, I tried on many different styles and shapes to sort out what I wanted, before buying the FeelTimes dresses. As soon as I saw the princess wedding dresses at www.feeltimes.com, I knew it had been the one. The gorgeous detail around the bodice, the button detail and neckline, the Mikado silk… everything about this ticked the boxes for me. I got the sensation people to let you know about; butterflies! It's a bridal shop that's stood the exam of time.
Despite needing to cut our numbers by 70 to 50 only a week before, your day went by smoothly without any hiccups. The week before was stressful, but your day itself was relaxed and fun. We were able to obtain married outdoors since the Scottish weather was on our side around the day. We had the entire day, without the meal, outside and danced our first dance around the helipad! The day is relaxed, sitting under the sun and catching up with people we've not observed in ages. The day ended watching the sunset with sparklers, it had been perfect. We didn't possess a reception, but we'll possess a big party in the coming year to make up for this.
My advice for future brides would be to enjoy every moment; it is going so fast! At the end of your day, all that matters is that you simply are marrying the love of your life. Getting some time only the two of you is important to try to fit some in where one can. After the speeches, our wonderful photographer Corinne Moffat took us to possess our couples photographs which meant Jamie was relaxed because he had done his speech! We'd also met her for a coffee a couple of days before therefore we felt we knew her very well and were relaxed. We've loved looking go back over our videos photos, having the ability to relive this type of magical day.
