Does Intel Arc Alchemist Perform Beyond Your Expectations?
Intel Arc graphics technology offers a range of functionalities like AI-enabled editing, Hardware-based ray tracing, XeSS Supersampling technology, and so on. With the help of these functionalities, you can smoothly perform a range of resource-intensive tasks like gaming, video editing, graphics designing, etc. But what special qualities make Intel Arc GPU different from other graphics technologies? Are you aware of them? Don’t worry! In this blog, we’ll highlight all of those specs that make Arc GPU a game-changer technology
Scroll down:
Supersampling:
The Supersampling Deep Link resolution technology comes from Intel, and it’s similar to DLSS from Nvidia and FidelityFX Super-Resolution from AMD. XeSS uses an algorithm which is combined by the physical power of the GPU. This technology optimizes visual appearance. XeSS is based on AI-enhanced upscaling technology. This unique technology uses the in-built concepts of AI-enabled editing and hardware-based ray tracing to deliver a great immersive experience. The concept smoothly collaborates with major game manufacturers to promote its wide adoption.
Supersampling also reduces the physical workload, which is done by the graphics card of the system. You can experience a great boost in frames per second and minor changes to visuals when compared to native resolution performance. This technology adapts with high-voltage games like Death Stranding: Director’s Cut and games such as Grid Legends, Hitman 3, Grit, and the Rift Breaker.
XMX Technology:
- XeSS uses the rendered frame technology, motion vectors, and data from the previous frames. This handles upscaling to produce a final image. That sounds the same as DLSS 2.0, as details matter here.
- XeSS is specially designed to work in two modes. The highest mode utilizes XMX hardware to perform upscaling.
- Intel combines four of the cores into a render slice and adds a shared L2 cache between them. This system also consists of dedicated ray-tracing units. These slices separate various alchemist graphics cards.
- According to Intel, it can smoothly add the eight render slices. It also makes a total of 32 Xe cores, 512 XMX, and vector units. This isn’t possible to speculate that how future architectures will work.
- The basis of Xe HPG is a Xe core. This features up to the capacity of 16 vector units and 16 Xe Matrix Execution units.
- XeSS technology works across a wide range of hardware, not just Intel graphics cards. To get broad support with the help of AI-based upscaling, Intel developed two software development kits(SDKs).
- This utilizes dedicated cores on a range of Intel graphics cards. XeSS uses DP4a instruction which is used for recent Intel Integrated Graphics channels.
Ray-tracing Capabilities:
It refers to a new rendering technique that produces more realistic visuals and light effects for improved immersion.
With the help of real-time ray tracing support, you can enjoy an advanced level of graphics detail and realism in your games.
Deep Learning Super Sampling(DLSS) boosts performance by rendering frames at a lower resolution and then upscaling them.
Now NVIDIA can no longer claim the top spot in graphics technology.
The Intel Arc Alchemist Control Software allows smooth downloading and installation of the latest drivers and patches. With the help of Game on Drivers, you get great game performance, optimized launch-day patches, and performance updates.
Bottom Line:
Intel Arc is a brand of graphics processing units specially designed by Intel. With modern technologies like AI-assisted and supersampling, you can experience a highly graphics supportive environment.
