Protetox Scam or Legit for Life, his latest book, is a step back from the "all the oil you can eat" concept. In fact, Atkins is in the same food group as Andrew Weil, and the Harvard Diet. He discusses bad fats and good fats, transfats and the evils of barbecuing. I was confused when Dr. Atkins moved on to the joys associated with nuts and berries. When I checked the front, I realized that I had misplaced the raw foods book or vegan cookbook. Although I'm not sure if Atkins for Life is worth the effort, it certainly leaves the New Diet Revolution behind. If Dr. Atkins had been alive a few more years, he would likely have published The New Improved Diet Revolution. It would have been closer to the mark. Goodbye, Dr. Atkins.
