He was also the first one to diagnose her with her medical condition of Multiple Sclerosis. The idea of helping a patient with my knowledge and hands appealed immensely to me. Throughout my professional career of over thirty-three years, I have had the privilege of helping many thousands of patients from literally all over the globe. I love what I do and I think it shows! Achieving Excellence In 1990, I received my Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) with Honors from Logan University in St Louis, MO in the USA. At the time, I was one of the very few chiropractic interns to ever have participated in hospital training at Metropolitan Medical Centers. Additionally at my graduation, I was selected to receive the Health Center Achievement Award for Clinical Excellence. A Long Career: Thirty-three years of practice achieving the best outcomes for my patients During my thirty years plus professional career, I have practiced in many different settings: individual, group, hospital and academic institutions. Before coming to Dubai, in the USA, I practiced near Boston, Massachusetts, and taught/practiced in Whittier, California. Also, I hold four licenses to practice in the United States of America and one license in Dubai, UAE. I have practiced in the UAE for over fourteen years. After additional postgraduate training and USA specialty examination, I obtained specialty board certification in Chiropractic Orthopaedics in 1995, and I was one of the first chiropractors in Massachusetts to be granted hospital privileges. I am the only certified Cox® Technic doctor in the Middle East! Teaching Chiropractors: Training the next generation of chiropractic doctors As a former Assistant Professor at Southern California University of Health Sciences. I educated, trained, and mentored chiropractic students and interns. This was an amazing and highly rewarding experience. Before I left, I was honored to receive an award from for my teaching efforts! Advanced Training Certified: Board certified speciality credentials In 2018, I obtained certification from the University of Pittsburgh as a Primary Spine Practitioner (PSP). This is a first of its kind program in the United States. The PSP is a trained professional who serves as the first healthcare practitioner to see patients with spine related disorders. The Primary Spine Practitioner provides diagnosis and management for the majority of patients with spinal problems. In 2019, I earned speciality board certification from the International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine as a “Diplomate of the International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine.” With this qualification, I focus on the evaluation and management of patients suffering from pain syndromes and neuromuscular conditions. An Active Life: Family, Profession & Community Service I am the proud Dad of three fantastic, grown children! An active lifestyle is my passion, walking, and fitness training are part of my weekly routine. I enjoy golf (even have a hole-in-one) and I am an advanced open water scuba diver. Staying active in my profession, I proudly served for two years as the President of the Emirates Chiropractic Association and another two years as its Immediate Past President, as well as four years as its Vice President. The Emirates Chiropractic Association is the representative professional organization for all the chiropractors in the United Arab Emirates. Lastly, I am a member of the Dubai Health Authority’s Healthcare Professional Licensure Assessment Panel, the governmental body that licenses chiropractic doctors in Dubai.
