On April 29, 2022, the final Rule by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This final rule outlined the Policy and Technical Changes to Medicare Advantage and Medicare Prescription drug Benefit Programs for the Contract Year 2023. CMS promotes the Final Rule because it advances "CMS' strategic view of expanding affordable health care and improving the health equity in Medicare Advantage (MA), and Part D through lower prescription drug costs and better consumer protections." The Final Rule will generally become effective from January 1, 2024, except for the following exceptions.
