The Pret “bake-at-home” variety of frozen croissants is offered in three variations such as chocolate-filled, plain butter, and vegan. The vegan croissant is crafted using shea butter, which Pret says gives the same buttery flakiness as a classic croissant. The croissants are obtainable in the frozen aisles of 700 Tesco UK stores and are packed in packs of six and retailing at £3 each. It marks the first time that a Pret a Manger product can be bought in a supermarket.
