Jagex announces that, after 18 years of being the PvP battlefield, Duel Arena will be leaving RuneScape and a brand new area will be added . RuneScape will be introducing Het's Oasis which will feature a completely new setting RuneScape Gold, new ways to earn skills and two mini-quests available to play.

Kicking off today with the Oasis Restoration participants will be tasked in the transformation process of the Duel Arena following a cataclysmic earthquake that has destroyed the area. Players must collaborate to transform the area from "a bloodthirsty battle pit where heroes have long staked their wealth in one-on-one matches in order to create a serene oasis."

Players will rebuild the area and perform daily tasks that will reward them in line with their achievements. Those who take part in the community event will get exclusive event prizes which include a new crocodile pet, title, wearables that are inspired by deserts, and Gators' shoes.

Following the two weeks of community events the area that was rebuilt will be called Het's Oasis An area for exploring and learning with new information and content related to skills for those seeking to enhance their Agility, Hunting, and Farming abilities.

"Heroes will also assist the God of Death in two Eye of Het mini-quests as they explore Het's Tomb seeking a powerful object that will aid the young gods in the Elder God Wars saga," the press release states.
