Free to Play?

A big rumor which is currently doing the rounds is that FIFA 23 will be free to play. Thus, the game should attract more players. It's no secret that EA FIFA makes money with the FIFA 23 Coins. In my estimation, however, these are simply rumors. FIFA is still EA's best selling game, they're not just going to make it free to play. However, EA has not yet debunked this rumor. So it remains to be seen what is in store for us.

Cross-Plattform?

Another rumor that might actually be true is cross-platform gaming. I.e. you can play with your PC against other players on the PS5. If this rumor were true, it would solve some current problems. Anyone who has ever played FUT mode also knows that the waiting times can sometimes be very long. Especially on consoles like Xbox or even the PC. The majority of the player base is simply found on Playstation. This has the consequence that one is stuck in eternally long queues. This can be very frustrating and also annoying for the players in the long run. EA could easily solve this problem with cross-platform servers. This would significantly reduce the waiting time and everyone would be happy. In addition, PC and console gamers can finally play a round of FIFA together. Whether this will be implemented by EA, however, has not yet been confirmed. The chances are good, though, since EA has taken the same step with other games in the past.

Renaming to EA FC

FIFA 23 is supposed to be the last part of EA, with the name FIFA. After that the game will be renamed EA FC (Football Club). This has already been confirmed by EA. However, it remains to be seen whether they will not renew the license after all. In any case, it remains exciting. With a little luck, one of these changes awaits us in the new FIFA part.
