I meet my hubby a little over four years ago in a live music venue that I worked at, he is at a band and I was the club booking agent. We spent the following four years flirting, texting, and wondering why we weren’t together, after which one-day things clicked, and we were married 6 months later.

My husband and I had discussed marriage since the first day and almost visited city hall many times but didn’t feel it had been right. One night, he slid a piece of paper underneath the bathroom door while I was on the point of going to dinner, and also the paper said “Will you marry me? Check good or bad.” So sweet and thus perfect. Two days later while at dinner we discussed how serious we actually were and also the planning then started.

One special memory that I will require away from our special day was that after we reached the ceremony space, a man is flying an enormous remote control airplane right above where I was getting married. Our amazing photographer captured it in several photos ad then photoshopped a banned saying “Just Married” towards the back of the plane. Such a cool ad special memory.

I opted for the feel times Lace dress because I am not your typical bride. To say we're nontraditional is an understatement. I bought two dresses but once I placed on this dress I knew it had been the one. It helped me feel sexy, pretty, and comfortable, and more importantly, it helped me feel like myself. I added a little petticoat under it to create the skirt just a little fuller along with a pink ribbon belt to tie in our wedding colors and also to match my birdcage veil. It was perfect!

Our whole wedding was untraditional…from the black, a line wedding dresses towards the pink bandana in my hubby’s back pocket, towards the small number of guests, to the after-ceremony dinner at the most popular Thai restaurant, towards the Star Wars masks we wore for many of our wedding photos. We did things how we wanted and we wouldn’t have changed anything.
